Materials:
- A clean jar with a tightly closing lid;
- Plastic toys or decorations that fit inside the jar;
- Silver glitter (available at stationery and haberdashery stores);
- Glycerin (available from pharmacies);
- Enough boiled water to fill the jar (allowed to cool before pouring);
- Glue; Teaspoon
This jar is called a “snow jar.” However, a snow jar doesn’t have to be limited to winter and snowman themes; you can put toys related to other themes you can think of inside. You can even make your own figures from playdough or clay.
Pour boiling water into the jar. However, do not fill the jar completely. There should be enough water in the jar to leave some air space when the lid is closed and the jar is turned upside down.
Add a few teaspoons of glycerin to the water and stir. Adding glycerin will increase the density of the water and cause the Sims to move slower.
Gradually mix about half a teaspoon of sesame seeds into the water.
Close the jar tightly and turn it upside down.
If you wish, you can also decorate the snow jar with a piece of ribbon.
